The Crayola Factory

On our way to VA. we decided to make a pitstop in PA. and visit the Crayola Factory to see how all those Crayons and Markers that we love to use are made. They were able to make a picture out of melted crayon wax, paint a picture and send it through the drying machine, play with the magic dough and get a box of crayons and a marker with their tokens. We sat down and were able to watch some box of crayons being made and also the markers. Connor and Emma were impressed.

The New Addition

We now have a new addition to Emma's stuffed animal collection from Build a Bear. We had used a little bribery for the 5 year old check-up. If she was good, her reward was to head over to Build a Bear with some of her birthday money. It worked good. Emma went on Wednesday to the doctors for the yearly checkup and the dreadful 5 year old shots. She was such a big girl, she was weighed in at 43lbs and measured in at 43inches tall (perfectly proportioned). The eye test went well along with the blood pressure and all the questions of do you know your letters, colors, address, phone number, and do you know about strangers. The hard part was to come with the 4 shots. Two nurses came in and gave 2 shots in each arm and was over before she knew it. She is officially ready for Kindergarten she informed me.
